Sometimes magic happens. You take a blend we love, the E.P. Carrillo Short 2010, and a size we love, Corona—and they are put together. Made for Federal Cigar’s 90th anniversary, the limited edition Coronas were released late last year. I’ve smoked a few, but am letting most of mine sit. Why you might ask. Because the general consensus at halfwheel is sometime in the near future these will be sublime. If the cigar tastes anything like the aged versions of the original three Short Run 2010s, it will be.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
