Tabacos Costa Nicaragua S.A. (Tabacosta) will add two new blends to the company’s portfolio at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, one of which is Costa Platinum.

The new cigar uses a habano oscuro wrapper, Ecuadorian binder and filler tobaccos from three regions in Nicaragua: Condega, Estelí and Jalapa.

It is offered in four sizes: Lagos (5 x 52, $5.46), Robusto XL (5 x 56, $5.76), Super Robusto (5 9/10 x 60, $5.86) and Skinny (7 1/2 x 40, $5.62). The three thicker sizes are sold in boxes of 25, while the Skinny will come in bundles of 15.

Tabacosta was founded in 2012, originally based in Panama, the company moved to Estelí in 2014. It currently has 200 employees and claims to sell 1.8 million cigars annually with distribution in various countries around the world.
