Drew Estate, and its parent Swisher International, have a new head of tobaccos.

Last week, the companies announced Nick van Olden as its vp of corporate tobacco procurement. van Olden has previously served as senior vice-president at both Consolidated Cigar Co. and Imperial Tobacco Group, both parents to the Altadis U.S.A. brands.

“When Nick explained that he was looking for a new challenge, we knew we had a unique opportunity to add a true professional to our team,” said Peter Ghiloni, ceo of Swisher International, in a press release. “Nick brings over 30 years of industry and procurement experience and will supplement the efforts of both Drew and Swisher to provide our customers with the highest quality tobacco products available.”

“The addition of Nick to our team reflects Swisher’s desire to support our goal of becoming the number one premium cigar company,” said Michael Cellucci, president of Drew Estate. “Nick offers procurement expertise that a growing company like Drew has never had in the past.”

The last person to hold a similar role at Drew Estate was Nicholas Melillo, who was listed as vp of international operations, and left the company in early 2014.

This is the second executive Drew Estate has added since Swisher acquired the company in late 2014 following the hiring of Jaime Florez-Estrada as vp of marketing for Drew Estate.

An email sent to Drew Estate was not returned.
