At last week’s Inter-tabac 2015 trade fair in Dortmund, Germany, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) showed off its newest cigar, the Macanudo Inspirado Black.

It’s the follow-up to the Inspirado line which debuted last year. The new cigar uses a habano-seed wrapper from the Connecticut River Valley that is grown by the Thrall family exclusively for STG. The binder is also proprietary tobacco,  vega especial leaf from the Dominican Republic. Filler-wise, the cigar uses Dominican olor and piloto cubano along with Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco.

Inspirado Black is being offered in two sizes: Gordito (4 1/2 x 54) and Cañozano (5 3/4 x 52).

The line has already launched in in the Netherlands and is expected in Germany in the coming days. It will begin launching to other international markets shortly.

Whether or not it makes it in the U.S. remains to be seen. While Macanudo is sold in the U.S. by STG subsidiary General Cigar Co., the Inspirado has remained an international exclusive.
