A quartet of 5 1/2 x 37 panatelas will be coming from RoMa Craft Tobac—one each in the company’s four lines. Yesterday, Skip Martin showed the cigars off, in July the company hopes to debut the cigars.

The Aquitaine Breuil ($7.00), CroMagnon Breuil ($7.50), Intemperance BA XXI Vanity ($6.50) and Intemperance EC XVIII Humility ($6.00) are all the same 5 1/2 x 37 size, but their entrance to the market will be different.

Two of the four are specifically being made for a retailer’s anniversary. Those two sizes, along with the other two, will be released in the form of an eight-count El Catador de las Panetelas sampler containing each of the four panatelas. The latter mirrors how the Aquitaine Mode 5 debuted last year as part of the El Catador de los Perfectos sampler for Tobacco Locker before entering regular production this year.

The two sizes the retailer selects, which are undecided at the moment, will be made on an ongoing basis for the retailer. It’s unclear what the future of the other two will be, but there are no plans for any national release of the four sizes outside of the sampler.

“My partner, Esteban Disla, and I have primarily focused on the core lines for RoMa Craft Tobac,” said Martin. “On the side, however, we have worked to perfect our versions of industry classics.”

“The Panetela Project is our most recent effort, but it will most certainly not be our last, when it comes to demonstrating the ability of Nica Sueño and RoMa Craft Tobac to consistently produce extremely high quality cigars and continuously deliver value innovation in a highly competitive and crowded marketplace.”

Martin mentioned the upcoming Neanderthal line, the company’s fifth regular production marca, as well as The Weasel, a mixed filler project that remains in the works.
