There’s a maduro version of the Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary.

The company announced that it has begun shipping the Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Maduro nationwide this week.

It was supposed to be released in 2015 alongside the original 20th Anniversary, however, the company was not happy with the blend.

“I wasn’t fully satisfied with the Maduro blend,” said Rocky Patel, ceo and president, in a press release. “The flavor was there, but it needed more age to really achieve greatness. And we’ve done it before, keeping cigars in our aging room for another year or two until they’re perfect.”

As for the blend, it uses a Honduran maduro wrapper from the Jamastran Valley over the same binder and filler from the original 20th Anniversary: a Honduran binder and Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. Going forward, the original version—which uses a Honduran habano wrapper—will be known as the 20th Anniversary Habano.

The cigar is offered in three box-pressed sizes:

  • Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Maduro Rothschild (4 1/2 x 50, $10.35)
  • Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Maduro Robusto Grande (5 x 54, $10.85)
  • Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Maduro 20th Anniversary Maduro Toro (6 x 52, $12)

All sizes are offered in boxes of 20.

The Rocky Patel 20th Anniversary Maduro is being produced at the El Paraiso factory in Danlí, Honduras.
