June 22, 2012 (Miami, FL) — Oliva Cigar was the official cigar sponsor for the 15th Annual Mario Lemieux Celebrity Invitational held on June 13th and 14th at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort outside Pittsburgh, PA. The proceeds from this annual event benefit the Mario Lemieux Foundation’s important work in cancer and neonatal research.

Over the course of this two-day event, many of the golfers stopped by the Oliva tent to enjoy an Oliva Connecticut Reserve cigar. The Connecticut Reserve is a great mild to medium full flavored handmade cigar dressed in a silky Connecticut wrapper, the perfect cigar to enjoy while golfing.

The Oliva Cigar Company is proud to have been part of this great event and to partner with Mario Lemieux and looks forward to working together with the foundation in the future.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
