Reinado’s plans for a Connecticut have turned. The company has announced that it will be releasing the Grand Empire Reserve Connecticut Edition in a single 6 x 38 size. It follows the release of the popular limited edition Grand Empire Reserve Petit Lancero the company announced last year.
“With the explosive consumption of our exceptionally rated Grand Empire Reserve line, we sought to introduce a complementary profile that delivers a rich, toasty, and distinctive flavor for smokers seeking a medium strength experience,” said Antonio Lam, owner of Reinado, in a press release.
“After nearly a year in development, we believe this aged Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper combined with the Grand Empire Reserve blend offers a perfect balance for sophisticated palates.”
The company says the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper has aged for three years. Pricing is set at $8.99 per cigar and it will come in boxes of 10 with its debut slated for the 2014 IPCPR trade show and convention.
The Grand Empire Ecuador Edition will be sold through both Reinado and Alliance Cigar. It is produced at Agros Tobacos Industriales in Nicaragua.
