Less than a year after releasing the XIKAR Allume, the company has revealed it will be shipping a redesigned version of the lighter next month.

The new Allume is 3mm taller than the original, making it roughly 2.3 inches x 1.2 inches. That minor height change will increase fuel capacity 11 percent. The other most notable change is that the flame and fuel wheel have been moved to the side of the lighter opposite the side squeeze ignition. On the original model both were located in the center of the lighter.

Three new finishes have been added as options Neon (pink), Citrus (green) and Reef (blue). It joins the original Black, Gunmetal, Silver, Red, Orange, Yellow, Purple and White finishes previously offered. A representative from the company told halfwheel that the price would increase from $49.99 to $59.99.

The original Allume single flame shipped last June. It introduced double and triple flame options of the lighter at the 2014 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. There is no word on whether those models will be redesigned as well.
