Next month, Federal Cigar will celebrate its 96th anniversary. As has become customary for the New Hampshire chain of stores, it will play host to a variety of industry personalities and special cigars.

One of those will be the Quesada Reserva Privada Churchill, a 7 x 47 size in Quesada’s Reserva Privada line. This is the fifth size in the line and the second retailer exclusive. Reserva Privada is highlighted by a Dominican San Vicente criollo binder that was part of the 1997 crop. It was planted by the late Manuel Quesada Sr. and the cigar was blended by his son, Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr.

Production is limited to 300 boxes of 10 cigars. Pricing is $12.95 per cigar, though boxes will be priced at $99.99 when it is released on March 4 at Federal’s 96th Anniversary Pig Roast.

The event, which takes place at its Epping location, will feature special guests including Janny García (My Father), K.C. Johnson (L’Atelier), Pete Johnson (Tatuaje/L’Atelier), Nicholas Melillo (Foundation), Terence Reilly (Quesada) and Cindy Saka (Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust).
