November 25, 2013 (Los Angeles, Calif.) — JM Tobacco has added the third selection in its recently-launched JM Dominican Classic brand…Classic Connecticut. Its wrapper, binder and filler are tailored to seasoned enthusiasts who prefer a full-bodied smoking experience. JM Dominican Classics are the company’s first 100% long-filler, handmade premium cigar since their 1995 entry into the market with Española. Though the cigar was well-received, JM redirected its focus and until now has built its solid reputation exclusively on value-priced, 100% handmade mixed-fill cigars.
The Classic Connecticut’s blend is a study in balancing tobaccos for desired flavor and body profiles. The wrapper is true Connecticut-grown shade leaf, with silk-thin delicacy and mild body. The Connecticut broadleaf binder picks up the power considerably. JM added an abundance of ligero to the Dominican Olor and Seco base filler, which results in an entirely different Connecticut shade-wrapped cigar.
The Classic Connecticut is made in four traditional shapes: 6″ x 44 Lonsdale, 5-1/2″ x 50 Robusto Grande, 6-3/4″ x 50 Churchill, and 6″ x 52 Pyramide. All are cello-tubed, and come in a lush brown-burgundy Spanish cedar box. MSRP is $120 ($6 per stick), and all the JM Dominican Classic Connecticut shapes are now available at tobacco retailers nationwide.
