Fans of the Powstanie line will have a new robusto to look forward to in both the Habano and Broadleaf formats.

Mike Szczepankewicz told halfwheel the company will introduce a new 5 x 50 robusto at next week’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. It will be priced at $9 in the Habano and $9.50 for the Broadleaf.

The Habano version uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Indonesian binder and Dominican criollo, Estelí ligero and other tobaccos from Condega and Jalapa as fillers, whereas the Broadleaf uses a broadleaf maduro wrapper, Indonesian binder and Estelí ligero, Jalapa and Pueblo Nuevo tobaccos in the filler.

Both sizes will come in boxes of 21 and are expected to launch nationally in October.

Powstanie is distributed by the Szczepankewicz brothers’ distribution company, Pospiech Inc.

Davidoff is the official sponsor of halfwheel's coverage of the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
