Details of Padrón’s golden anniversary continue to leak out. It was already known that two cigars were planned for the 50th anniversary: one a humidor release believed to be called “Puros Gold” and the other a regular production release.

According to an article in Cigar Insider, the regular production release is likely to be named the Padrón Family Reserve 50, currently planned as a 5 x 54. It is said that it will likely be more limited compared to other Padróns, but it will be made regularly.

While the new article did not mention Puros Gold, it was consistent with other details regarding the humidor release: a limited amount of 50-count humidors, said to be no less than 500, will be released in the fall, now targeted at September.

The report said that the cigars will be individually-numbered as well as the humidors themselves. As of now, those who purchase the humidor will have a chance to purchase 50 additional refill cigars per year for five years.

The cigars are said to be shown off first at the IPCPR trade show and convention in July.
