Ernesto Padilla has confirmed to halfwheel that the new project he tweeted about is in fact the 10th anniversary release for Padilla Cigar Co. The normally talkative Padilla was relatively mum on details, although he did indicate prototypes of the cigar are using seven-year-old tobacco.

Padilla Cigar Co. was actually founded in 2003, making this the 11th year, by Ernesto and his brother Carlos. Currently, El Titan de Bronze in Miami’s Little Havana and Oliva’s TABOLISA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua are responsible for producing the company’s cigars. Oliva also distributes Padilla cigars.
