Another day, another municipality in Massachusetts considering making it illegal to purchase tobacco if you are under 21.

This time, it’s North Andover, which is located in the northeastern part of the sate in Essex County. The Board of Health will meet tonight to discuss raising the minimum purchasing age to 21. According to the Eagle-Tribune, the board has already had “informal discussions” on the matter.

Last year, North Andover restricted flavor tobacco sales to cigar bars and tobacco retailers. It previously had asked all pharmacies to voluntarily limit tobacco sales.

North Andover has a population of around 30,000. Andover, Danvers, Lawrence and Methuen—all of which are also located in Essex County—have raised the minimum age to 21.
