Patrick Vivalo, a sales executive at Rocky Patel, is getting his name on a cigar. In May, the company plans to ship the Vivalo Exclusivo Serie to two retailers: Tinder Box of Waldorf, Md. and Dan’s Cigar Lounge in Rosadale, Md.

Vivalo told halfwheel the cigar was one that he smokes regularly while in Honduras at one of the main factories used for Rocky Patel production. The 6 x 44 Nicaraguan puro was given to both the retailers while they were visiting the factory with Vivalo last year. Once they returned to the states, both retailers contacted the company about carrying the cigar as an exclusive.

Afterwords Nish Patel, executive vice president for Rocky Patel, asked Vivalo for permission to make the cigar and use his name.

“I was ecstatic,” said Vivalo.  “Not knowing the two shop owners approached our rep about carrying the cigar as an exclusive and that they wanted to use my last name.”

The cigars, which still don’t have a set price, will ship at the end of May.
