Viaje has offered a glimpse at one of its new releases scheduled for 2014, a project being referred to as the Exclusivo Leaded.

The Leaded line will up the strength of the Exclusivo line by adding a medio tiempo leaf into the blend, a fairly rare priming of leaf that grows above the ligero on certain plants and was recently brought to light due to its use in the Cuban Cohiba Behike line. Farkas discussed the cigar on a recent episode of Kiss My Ash Radio as being a more robust version of the Exclusivo.

Not much else is known about this new release other than its band, which features a silver, black and red color scheme, similar to a hybrid of the Exclusivo and Fifty-Fifty Red lines. Andre Farkas was seen smoking one during the Holiday Blend Christmas Tree launch event at Anthony’s Cigar Emporium in Tucson, Ariz. on December 21. Recently, a photo of the cigar was posted by a consumer on Farkas’ Facebook page.

In addition, Farkas mentioned on the show that he will be adding a box-pressed Churchill to its Oro line.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
