It's weird that so many people bash Viaje, but whenever i try to get one of these releases at a local shop or online, they are sold out? My guess is that some of the "haters" are actually buying Viaje sticks. I don't know what would inspire such behavior, but I doubt it's as clever as market manipulation. Personally, I like the strategy Andre is using. Many of his sticks have burn issues, but most have flavor... and if you get something that really works (like every Holiday Blend I've tasted) you know you have a great cigar that's relatively rare. That kind of release makes the hobby fun for your average halfwheel reader (considering this site's focus on rare smokes.)
News: Viaje to Ship Stuffed Turkey Alongside Skull and Bones M?stery
Earlier today, Viaje posted a variety of images regarding its next shipment, including one showing that White Label Project Stuffed Turkey Dark and White Meat will be part of the shipment. Last week, the company made it known that Skull and Bones M?stery was coming soon when it announced Full Moon.
According to the posts, all three will begin shipping next week. Stuffed Turkey debuted in 2011, a project started thanks to a conversation with Stogie Review’s Jerry Cruz. Last year the company released the 5 x 60 size in both natural and maduro forms, aptly named Dark Meat and White Meat. The picture indicates the vitola will be 5 x 58 and there are 150 bundles of each wrapper, although Viaje has yet to confirm these details and there is at least one instance where a WLP label was incorrect about the release size.
Skull and Bones M?stery is also back, with glow and the dark bands. This will be the fourth year in a row for the cigar, although little details are known elsewhere. For the past two years, the release has included multiple vitolas.
Last week, a representative from the company declined to give details regarding Full Moon.
