The Serie V will be getting a new Maduro special edition next year, the Melanio Maduro. Representatives confirmed to halfwheel a single size of a Maduro version of Oliva’s newest cigar is planned for Father’s Day 2013.

Earlier this year at IPCPR 2012, the Ecuadorian-wrapped version of Oliva’s popular Serie V line debuted in Orlando. Since then—where the initial Melanio shipment sold out in minutes—the cigar has remained largely backordered.

The Serie V has been released annually in the form of the Serie V Maduro Especial since 2008. The most recent versions have used Mexican San Andrés Maduro, while Oliva used Connecticut Broadleaf for the debut.

As of now, the exact size, price and other details of the Melanio Maduro are unavailable.

In addition, Oliva’s STUDIO TOBAC brand has a new display for NUb Tubos. The company showed its sales reps the above display, which it plans to introduce in late January/early February.

The display will be sold as package with NUb Tubos. Each tray holds 10-12 Tubos, which are refillable in the form of bundled NUb tubos.
