La Gloria Cubana is adding a limited run cigar called the Serie R Little Belicoso that will only be made available to brick & mortar retailers.

The cigar is not a permanent addition to the LGC portfolio, but is a limited production item. They are being made in both natural and maduro wrappers, with each 40-count box containing 20 of each version. While the cigars are shipped in the same box, they are contained in two separate compartments with a see-through box top.

The La Gloria Cubana Serie R Little Belicoso was blended using the Serie R recipe, and while it is similar in size to the regular production Belicoso, it is both smaller and a slightly bigger ring gauge. The open stock Belicoso measures 5 3/4 x 56, where as the Little Belicoso measures 5 x 57.

Only 753 boxes of the La Gloria Cubana Serie R Belicoso are being made, for a production of 15,060 of each wrapper version and a total run of 30,120 cigars. The suggested retail price is $8.20 per cigar.

The La Gloria Cubana Little Belicoso has already begun shipping to stores who placed early orders.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
