La Flor Dominicana has announced that they will be releasing a very limited edition of their Mysterio cigars for the holiday season that will be geared at collectors and fans of unique cigars. On Monday morning, the company posted the following picture to their Facebook page announcing the release:

La Flor Dominicana Collectors Edition Mysterio

The cigar is being referred to as the Collector’s Edition Mysterio and is scheduled to be available at the beginning of November. Tony Gomez said that it will be packed similar to the current five-count boxes that the regular production Mysterios come in, but will feature some added designs. Pricing and production numbers are still “up in the air,” with Gomez adding that just about 50 of the cigars are made per day.

The blend for the cigar will remain largely the same as the existing LFD Mysterios, with a Nicaraguan Habano leaf used for the decorative part of the Collector’s Edition Mysterio, and a Connecticut Broadleaf Oscuro leaf used for the base.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
