The third release of the Fuente Fuente OpusX ForibddenX 13 series has arrived in stores. The super limited edition Fuente was mysteriously released in late December of 2011 and shipped again in the spring of this past year.

Despite some indication at IPCPR, there is no new size. Only the original six vitolas have shipped:

FFOX Forbidden X 100 Year

  • FFOX Forbidden “Torch Bearer 2012″ (7 5/8 x 49) — $18.00 (Boxes of 13, $234.00)
  • FFOX Forbidden “Nacimiento 1912″ (5 1/8 x 43) — $11.75 (Boxes of 13, $152.75)
  • FFOX Forbidden “Heart of the Bull 1957″ (5 1/4 x 50) — $14.00 (Boxes of 13, $182.00)
  • FFOX Forbidden “Destiny 1980″ (5 3/4 x 52) — $15.75 (Boxes of 13, 204.74)
  • FFOX Forbidden “Keeper of the Flame 2013″ (6 1/4 x 49) — $15.00(Boxes of 13, $195.00)
  • FFOX Forbidden “God’s Whisper 1924″* — $16.00 (Boxes of 13, $208.00)

*Fuente lists the size of God’s Whisper 1924 as 7 1/5 x 41, retailers that have received boxes of God’s Whisper indicate that it is closer to a Churchill in size.

According to at least one individual at Fuente, there are far less available this year than last year. Given that most retailers only received a single box of a portion of the six vitolas, a cut in supply likely will result in some retailers receiving only a box or two. Last year, the ForbiddenX 13 was distributed almost exclusively to Fuente’s top accounts.

Alongside the ForbiddenX 13, Fuente shipped the Magnum R44 alongside single boxes of the Don Carlos 76th and Don Carlos Lancero. Earlier this year, Fuente announced the R44 would go into regular production.

While the Don Carlos 77th remains a no show, the Don Carlos Lancero, in boxes of 13, has arrived at accounts.
