Fresh off the Labor Day weekend, Famous Smoke Shop announced the release of two new lines from Altadis USA’s Romeo y Julieta line, the House of Montague and the House of Capulet. Both are being made exclusively for the Easton, Pa. retailer.

The Romeo y Julieta House of Capulet uses an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and a filler blend from Nicaragua and Honudras. The House of Montague uses a Brazilian Arapiraca Maduro wrapper, a Dominican Olor binder and what is described as a “hearty blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican and Brazilian” filler leaves. Both are being made in Honduras.

Both lines come in four vitolas: a 7 x 50 Churchill, a 6 x 60 Magnum, a 5 x 54 Robusto and a 6 x 52 Toro, and all four sizes come in 20-count boxes. MSRP on the boxes ranges from $102.80 – $129.60, but Famous currently has them priced between $82.99 – $103.99.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
