The weeks leading up to the 2013 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show will be busy for Boutique Blends Cigars, the makers of Aging Room, SWAG and Oliveros. The company recently announced a new project and a pair of new offerings for their Aging Room brand that are slated for release in the coming weeks.

First up is a project called the Aging Room Wild Pack, a ten-pack of cigars that is going to contain two cigars of five different previously unreleased blends. Each cigar will come with a rating card that breaks down the components of a cigar and that consumers are asked to submit online. It will be available in the weeks leading up to the 2013 IPCPR Convention and Trade Show, though pricing has not been finalized yet.

The Aging Room brand will be adding a new 5 1/2 x 47 Perferido vitola called the M21 Fortissimo. Due to limited availability of the wrapper, which the company says has been aging for over seven years, only 3,000 boxes of 10 cigars are being made. The Aging Room M21 will be released at the IPCPR trade show in mid-July.

The third addition to the Aging Room line is the Mini, a mini cigarillo that will come in 20-count boxes. It uses the same blend as the M356 to deliver a “fantastic aroma and strength,” according to Rafael Nodal, president of Boutique Blends. It is slated to begin shipping in mid-May.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
