There’s a new My Father Cigars creation in the Chicago area today, as the four stores that are part of the Casa de Montecristo family have announced receipt of Oro de Nicaragua.
The manager of 8 to 8 Cigars, one of the stores in the Casa de Montecristo family, posted a picture of the cigar to his Twitter account earlier today:

TopQualityCigars.com, the online store of the group, has already listed the My Father Oro de Nicaragua for sale. It’s available in four sizes, all coming in boxes of 12: a 6 x 52 toro and 6 1/8 x 52 torpedo, both of which sell for $119.95 per box, and a 5 x 50 robusto and 5 x 52 figurado, both of which sell for $95.95 per box.
Other than the Nicaraguan wrapper that is used, the blend on Oro de Nicaragua has not been disclosed. The cigars are made at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Janny García of My Father Cigars told halfwheel that the cigar is an exclusive for Casa de Montecristo and a one-time release, but didn’t have any additional information about the blend.
(García’s quote was added shortly after the original version of this article was published. A quote from the manager from of 8 to 8 Cigars regarding the cigar has also been removed.)
