A.J. Fernández’s invasion into the Altadis U.S.A. profile keeps growing.
The duo have announced that Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez will be shown off at the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in July. It’s the latest in a growing list of cigars produced by A.J. Fernández for Altadis U.S.A. and its sister company, Santa Clara, Inc.
As for Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez, it uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a corojo 98 binder and criollo 98 and Dominican piloto cubano fillers.
“The Monte by Montecristo line was launched in 2013 to add new dimension to the traditional Montecristo portfolio—a stronger cigar at an affordable price point,” said Altadis U.S.A. in a statement. “ Today, we’re building on its success with consumers by partnering with AJ Fernandez to deliver the new Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez, crafted to appeal to the adult consumer demographic with a taste for stronger, bolder smoking experiences.”
It will be offered in four sizes:
- Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez Corona (5 x 44) — $10.50 (Boxes of 20, $210)
