For the fourth consecutive year, Chicago’s Casa De Montecristo will be receiving a limited edition Liga Privada for Halloween. The Liga Privada Único Serie UF-4 will be returning to Casa De Montecristo for the store’s annual Halloween party.

Liga Privada Único Serie UF4 2012 2

The 6 x 52 toro uses a Connecticut habano wrapper, Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan fillers. If that sounds familiar, it’s because it is. The cigar is actually one of the test versions used for the blending of T52. While the blend did not become a regular Liga Privada, it was said to be company chairman Jonathan Drew’s favorite of the bunch. The blend was then passed out by Drew and others banded as JD4, then MF4 and ultimately UF-4. Only the UF-4 moniker has been sold to the public and only at Casa De Montecristo.

This year, the event will actually be on Oct. 30. While the company is not detailing the total release size, it has said it will be priced and packaged the same as last year.

Editor’s Note (Oct. 10, 2014): The information above came from spokesperson from Drew Estate before the event. We are aware the cigars shown on Casa De Montecristo’s website after the event show a cigar that does not look like the UF-4 from previous years. We’ve reached out to Drew Estate for comment and will update this story when we hear back.
