Tonight, in Bethesda, Md., the L’Atelier Côte d’Or La Tâche will be available for the first time.

L’Atelier co-founder Pete Johnson is at an event at W. Curtis Draper with 100 boxes of the newest L’Atelier.

It’s a 5 1/2 x 50 robusto version of the Côte d’Or which debuted last year. The cigar uses an Ecuadorian Sancti Spiritus wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers, including pelo de oro.

Suggested retail pricing is $16 per cigar and it is limited to 2,000 boxes of 10. Johnson told halfwheel that he doesn’t expect the cigars to begin shipping nationwide for “about a month and a half.”
