The day of the dead doesn’t take place until late October, but Crowned Heads’ tribute to its fallen is coming out in June.

Las Calaveras will return, this time in Edición Limitada 2016 form. The blend uses a Connecticut broadleaf Grade A Dark wrapper over a blend of Nicaraguan fillers.

Only one size returns from last year, the LC50, a 5 x 50 robusto with a suggested retail price of $10.25. It’s been included in all three releases of Las Calaveras.

Joining it will be LC46 (6 x 46, $9.25) and LC54 (5 1/2 x 54, $11.25). All three sizes are sold in boxes of 24 with production split between 4,500 boxes in total.

But this year there’s one more thing. Crowned Heads is offering a sampler including the three regular sizes of Las Calaveras, along with a sampler-exclusive 6 1/8 x 52 pirámides. A total of 2,000 samplers are being produced with pricing set at $39.95.

Production is once again being handled at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
