J. Fuego to Reintroduce Gran Reserva at IPCPR
A little over four years since discontinuing his Gran Reserva line, Jesus Fuego is bringing it back.
The line will make its return next week at the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, now hailing from Fuego’s new factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigar uses Nicaraguan corojo seed tobacco exclusively, with the youngest tobacco in the blend found in the wrapper, which has been aged for six years.
Coincidentally, it was a lack of wrapper that led Fuego to discontinue the line in 2013.
The Gran Reserva was the first line that was launched under the J. Fuego brand in the United States, and returns in five sizes, all of which are expected to be on store shelves in mid-August:
- J. Fuego Gran Reserva Belicoso (6 x 52) — $8.75
- J. Fuego Gran Reserva Corona (5 3/4 x 46) — $7.75
- J. Fuego Gran Reserva Elegante (6 x 50) — $8.50
- J. Fuego Gran Reserva Grande (6 1/2 x 56) — $9.50
- J. Fuego Gran Reserva Robusto (5 x 52) — $7.95
All five sizes come in 20-count boxes and will have a familiar but updated look with some new banding:
