Three booths. Three booths are traditionally a pain to photograph due to lighting: Ashton, Gurkha and Quesada. I have all three assigned to me and despite my pleas each year to change the lighting, or to simply just make the lighting consistent, the booths are pretty much the same and as such the pictures are not my best work. That being said, I always enjoy being at the Quesada booth. Whether it’s here at the trade show or at the factory, Quesada always has a very family feel to it that makes it a nice to relax and just chat, which is what I did for a good 20 minutes.Quesada’s booth is rectangular with some walls and a center structure. All the product is placed in this curved circular structure in the middle, which is great for moving clients around in an orderly fashion and awful for my attempts to photograph it.Quesada Oktoberfest (2017)

I really like the white bands on the new Oktoberfest. Quesada will be hosting events where one customer will win a two night trip to Miami to visit Tank Brewery and of course, have a beer and a cigar.

My personal feelings about the first release aside, the cigar apparently has a lot of demand. It soft-launched earlier this year through Payless Cigars & Pipes and is now being offered to other retailers and is shipping nationwide.

The Reserva Privada Barberpole is limited to just 3,000 cigars in each size. I’ve smoked a few different sizes of the blend and find it to be a nice addition to the ever-growing Reserva Privada family.

The most valuable space at a retailer is the countertop. Quesada has had a lot of success with its pre-packaged bags, which are designed for both countertop and floor display, so now it’s taking it a step further with a humidor. It’s packaged to hold Casa Magna, Fonseca Nicaragua, Quesada Keg, Quesada Oktoberfest and Quesada Reserva Privada Oscuro.

None of the cigars in the humidor package are new.
