Last year, the Ted’s booth was all about a new cigar called Farris. This year, the Ted’s Cigars’ booth was all about a cigar called Farris. Turns out, the cigar never shipped to retailers, so the company ended up holding it until this year and now, with a few changes, the cigar is ready to ship to retailers.

Farris

Farris
Blend-wise, it lists the same: Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican olor binder and Dominican ligero and Nicaraguan viso in the filler. Two of the sizes are listed as the same: 5 x 50, 5 1/2 x 56 and 6 x 50 with pricing now set between $9-11. The 6 x 50 size is offered in tubes because of the company’s notoriety with cigars in tubes thanks to its Maker’s Mark cigars.

The cigar is named after company owner Ted Jackson’s grandmother, whose maiden name was Farris and served as inspiration to him. Jackson has launched a new campaign, Farris Story, where individuals can write to the company about their own experiences and be sent a cigar.

Farris is made by Victor Sinclair in the Dominican Republic.

The Glen Cigar

The Glen
Ted’s is also launching The Glen, a cigar infused with single malt Scotch whisky. It uses a similar process to the Marker’s Mark cigars and is also sold in tubes, which unveil a slightly sweet, but potent smell.
