Swinger Cigars is literally all over the show. The company has branded golf carts driving around the show picking them up to take people to its booth.

After debuting with its Front 9 and Back 9 brands at last year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Swinger Cigars is back in 2015 with another release.

Swinger 1895

The 1895 takes its name from the first year that the U.S. Open golf tournament was held, and features a Brazilian maduro wrapper covering a habano binder and filler tobaccos from Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The new line is being sold in two different vitolas packaged in boxes of 10 that will ship to retailers in August: the #5 (5 x 58, $9.25) and the #6 (6 x 58, $9.75.)

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
