IPCPR 2015: Prometheus

Prometheus, it’s so shiny.

2015 FFOX6 Sampler
First up is the 2015 FFOX6 sampler, which is also known as the Opus6 sampler, which includes singles of the Fuente Fuente OpusX King Power, Fuente Fuente OpusX Taurus The Bull, Fuente Fuente OpusX 13 Belicoso, Fuente Fuente Forbidden X Toro Maduro, Angel’s Share Toro and Don Arturo Gran AniverXario Toro. Inside will also be The Fuente Story: Passion Behind the Tradition and Legacy, a biography of Carlos Fuente, Sr., as well as a photo essay book entitled Journey to Chateau de la Fuente. Only 2,000 units are being produced, each with an MSRP of $260: 800 in the Macassar ebony finish, 600 in red, 400 in black and 200 in white.

They will ship to retailers in November.

Father and Son Humidors
Next up are the Father and Son humidors, which pay tribute to 20 years of Fuente Fuente OpusX. The humidors are made in France and measure 21 1/4 inches wide by 11 inches deep and just over 5 1/2 inches high. Each humidor can hold approximately 175 cigars, and only 200 total units are being offered in five different colors: 50 in Walnut Burl, 50 in Macassar Ebony, 40 in Blue Sycamore, 30 in Red Sycamore, and 30 in Yellow Sycamore. MSRP is $4,000.

Each humidor includes 50 rare vintage Fuente Aged Selection cigars: eight Fuente Fuente Forbidden X Double Corona, four Fuente Fuente Forbidden X Churchill Maduro, four Fuente Fuente Forbidden X Toro Maduro, four Fuente Fuente OpusX Forbidden X 13 Belicoso, eight Fuente Fuente OpusX King Power, four Fuente Fuente OpusX BBMF, four Fuente Fuente OpusX Pirámide 56 Especiale, four Fuente Fuente OpusX Taurus The Bull, four Angel’s Share Churchill, four Don Arturo Gran AniverXario Churchill Natural and two Fuente Fuente OpusX Original Belicoso (5 1/2 x 48) which were rolled in 1994 but never released.

Prometheus Magma T FFOX 20th Anniversary
Also new this year is the FFOX 20th Anniversary of the Magma T, a triple-torch table lighter that includes two built-in punch cutters. Only 1,000 units are being produced in each black and white, each with a serial number and MSRP of $125.

Prometheus Ultimo X FFOX 20th Anniversary
In addition, there is a different style of triple torch flame with a built in punch cutter named the Prometheus Ultimo X FFOX 20th Anniversary. Only 1,000 individually numbered lighters will be produced: 650 in black and 350 in white, each with an MSRP of $99.

2015 Limited Edition Fuente Fuente OpusX 20th Anniversary Travel Humidor
If you need travel humidors, Prometheus has you covered there as well. One of the newest options is the 2015 Limited Edition Fuente Fuente OpusX 20th Anniversary Travel Humidor, which measures 8 2/3 inches x 6 3/4 inches x 2 inches and includes an Optima travel humidifier and protective carrying case. Only 200 units are being produced each with an MSRP of $350: 50 in blue, 50 in red, 50 in yellow and 50 in Macassar ebony.

Prometheus Travel P FFOX 20th Anniversary
A second travel humidor option is the new FFOX 20th Anniversary Prometheus Travel P, which is being offered in a Macassar ebony veneer with an MSRP of $125. The travel humidor can hold up to three 60 ring gauge cigars up to 6 1/2 inches long, as well as an eight-gram Boveda pack for humidification, but does not include any cigars.

Opus22 (2015)
Next is this year’s release of the annual Opus22, which will be released in two phases: 350 units in November 2015 and 150 in May 2016. Each humidor has an MSRP of $975 and includes the following cigars: FFOX Forbidden X 13 Belicoso (2), FFOX Forbidden X Double Robusto (2), FFOX 888 Especiale Natural (1), FFOX BBMF Natural (1), FFOX King Power (2), FFOX Lancero (1), FFOX LFMF (1), FFOX Shark (1), FFOX Tauros the Bull (2). FFOX Tiger Shark (2), FFOX Love Affair (1), Angel’s Share Churchill (1), Angel’s Share Toro (2), Don Arturo Gran AniverXario Churchill (1) and Don Arturo Gran AniverXario Toro (2).

God of Fire 10th Anniversary Sampler
On the God of Fire front, this year will bring a limited edition God of Fire 10th Anniversary sampler, which retails for $327. 95 and includes 14 cigars: (3) God of Fire by Don Carlos (1 Robusto, 1 Toro, 1 Robusto Gordo 54), (4) God of Fire by Carlito (1 Double Robusto, 1 Churchill, 1 Piramide and 1 Double Corona), (4) God of Fire Serie B (1 Robusto, 1 Double Robusto, 1 Robusto Gordo 54, 1 Gran Toro) and (3) God of Fire Serie Aniversario (1 Aniversario 54, 1 Aniversario 56 and 1 Aniversario 60.)

In addition to the above, there are also three vitolas of God of Fire Serie Aniversario, each available in boxes of 10: God of Fire Aniversario 54 (7 1/2 x 54, $290), God of Fire Aniversario 56 (6 1/2 x 56, $260), God of Fire Aniversario 60 (5 1/2 x 60, $240). All three sizes will ship in August.

Angelenos & Sencillo Humidors
Both Angelenos and Sencillo have limited edition humidors this year: the Sencillo comes in Watercrest Sycamore and includes 100 cigars with an MSRP of  $1,500 while the Angelenos is available in Carbon Fiber, includes 100 cigars and has an MSRP of $1,750.

Finally, Sencillo has a new vitola of its Black Piramide: the Black Piramide 60 No. 4 (4 1/2 x 60, $7.95) which is being sold in boxes of 10 and are made in Nicaragua.
