Last year, it was Royal Gold and Corporación Cigar Export, this year, if you wanted to find Saga cigars, you had to go to a booth called “De Los Reyes.” Two factors went into this: A. Swisher International, the parent of Royal Gold, purchased Drew Estate, B. Corporación Cigar Export changed the name of its premium cigar factory to De Los Reyes.

There wasn’t any new cigar, but the Saga Golden Age received new packaging.

The company had to go to Europe to find a company to do what they wanted, which involves gold flaking on both the box and the band. Speaking of the band, it features a cut out of the brand, giving it a unique and neat look.

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
