Catelli Cigar Co. unveiled a third blend to the market at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

Catelli Cigars 1

Modella Maduro
The Modella Maduro will be a regular release line that incorporates a Mexican San Andrés wrapper covering a Nicarguan binder and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The new blend joins two other Catelli blends, one that uses a habano wrapper and the other that incorporates a Connecticut wrapper.

According to the company, there will be five vitolas of the Modella Maduro available when the cigars ship in September, all of which will be sold in boxes of 20: Girl Next Door (5 x 50, $6.90), the Perfection (6 1/2 x 42, $7.90), the Supermodel (6 7/8 x 50, $7.90), the Curves (6 1/4 x 52, $7.90) and the Bombshell (6 x 60, $8.90.)

All three Catelli lines are produced at the La Zona Cigar Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
