For its second year at the trade show Royal Gold has also moved on to a much larger booth design, part of the reason being because Corporación Cigar Export is in the booth as well.

Nirvana Model

Nirvana

Royal Gold’s Nirvana Cameroon Selectiondidn’t get any new sizes, though the packaging was updated and the blend now has a different priming version of the Cameroon wrapper.

Casino Gold The Whale

Casino Gold did get a new size in the HRS line – a 7 x 70 cigar named The Whale. This is the sixth and largest size for the HRS line and the blend will remain the same according to Alex Goldman. The blend is a habano rosado wrapper from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua, a Cameroon binder and three different Nicaraguan fillers. MSRP is set at $8.50 per cigar or $127.50 for a box of 15.

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
