IPCPR 2013: La Cosecha Cigars Inc.
One of the new companies at the show is La Cosecha Cigars. Their initial release four months ago consists of the brand El Cuje with four lines – the Maravillas Collection, Big Boss Collection, Gran Cosecha Collection and Rebumbio Collection.
As a newer brand, their booth was smaller, but very straight forward. Displaying their four lines in front, you could tell they had a lot of visitors as the boxes were a varying stages of emptiness.
The Maravillas Collection is their premier line which uses an undisclosed filler, a Nicaraguan Habano binder and finished off with a Habano Ecuador wrapper. The sizes in the line are the Maravilla No.1 (6 1/8 x 56), Maravilla No.2 (5 1/2 x 54), Piramide Extra (6 1/8 x 54) and the Maravilla No.3 (5 x 50).
Big Boss Collection
The Big Boss Collection is a slight step down in pricing and are made with Nicaraguan filler, an Ecuadorian Habano binder and finished with a Connecticut wrapper. The sizes in the line are Toro Gordo (5 1/2 x 60), Torpedo (6 1/8 x 54), Canonaso (5 x 52) and the Robusto (4 x 50).
Gran Cosecha Collection
The Gran Cosecha Collection is a large, box-pressed line. It uses undisclosed Central American filler, Nicaraguan Habano binder and is finished with a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. The sizes in the line are the Troncoso (6 1/2 x 70), Colossal (6 x 65), Toro Grande (5 x 60), Gran Robusto (6 1/2 x 56) and the Gordito (5 1/2 x 54).
The Rebumbio Collection is their value line, priced the cheapest of the four lines and is a mixed filler cigar using Rebumbio A1 filler, Nicaraguan Habano for the binder, and is finished off with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The sizes in the line are a Petti Toro (5 1/2 x 60), Petti Belicoso (5 1/8 x 54) and the Petti Robusto (4 3/4 x 50).
