It’s Fuente’s 100 year anniversary, and it was widely expected to be a year when the company brought nothing new to the IPCPR — something we mentioned was likely not the case a few days ago. As for J.C. Newman, the company released its long-announced Perla del Mar and a Maduro version of the Brick House Mighty Mighty Maduro.
New Booth
It would have fit nicely outside of Casa Fuente shop in Las Vegas, particularly with the ceiling. The feeling is more Fuente, but then again — it is the 100th anniversary.
Destino Al Siglo
It’s Fuente’s 100th anniversary cigar. There’s no timetable, but it will ship in these books. Brian Burt and I smoked one a few days ago—these are a lot better than the typical Gran AniverXario. Once again, the packaging is not finalized.
Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share
It’s available in Toro form as part of Prometheus’ Fuente 100th anniversary releases, but it’s still not ready. There’s no timetable, but the color of the packaging is not finalized. There will be more than a single size when it launches.
Casa Cuba
Once again hidden in the booth, once again still no official release date.
Arturo Fuente 858 Sun Grown, Best Seller Maduro and Short Story Maduro
All three are limited to 1,000 boxes. Retailers who purchased 20 boxes of regular production cigars were offered a chance to buy one size.
FFOX Forbidden 13
There was a shipment a few months ago, there will likely be more, and another size coming soon. The hint was sun rise.
Perla del Mar
Four sizes, all from $4.50-$5.95. Details here.
Brick House Mighty Mighty Maduro
Boxes of 20 of the 6 1/4 x 60—word is it tastes quite different than the regular Brick House.
Toast Across America 2012
It’s actually the same sizes as last year, different packaging.
