The Impromptu line from the trio of Robert Caldwell, Tony Bellatto and Jaclyn Sears will add another new limited edition in June, a Dominican-made release called Stout.

Bellatto recently shared news of the new release with halfwheel, saying that “after tasting all of these amazing notes combined, I realized they all are flavors found in almost every stout beer. When I came across these cigars with Caldwell in the D.R., I knew they were going to be a hit. Specifically because of my love for craft beer, wine and spirits. The cigars complement all three very well, especially a nice Imperial Stout.”

The Impromptu Stout comes from Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic and is limited to just 5,000 cigars. It uses a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Sumatra binder and a filler blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Honduras. Like the rest of the Impromptu releases, it is available in a single corona vitola that measures 5 3/4 x 42 with an closed foot.

Pricing is slated to be around $11.50 per cigar, with the Impromptu Stout packed in five-packs with an MSRP of $57.50. Bellatto said that the Impromptu Stout will be available at Havana House and NewHavanaCigars.com, as well as some additional retailers that have yet to be announced.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
