Rodrigo González Jiménez is the new marketing director for Habanos S.A.

His promotion comes after José María López Inchaurbe, who previously held the job, was promoted to vp of development for the Cuban cigar company earlier this year.

González Jiménez began working at Imperial Brands, plc, a British tobacco conglomerate which owns 50 percent of Habanos S.A., in 2006. He most recently served as the operational marketing deputy director for Habanos S.A., a role he has served in since 2014.

Habanos S.A. is a 50-50 joint venture between Imperial and the Cuban government. The company is responsible for the commercialization of Cuban cigars worldwide.
