The final chapter of the Griffin’s Club Series began shipping last month.

In late 2013, Davidoff of Geneva announced the Griffin’s Club Series, which like the original Griffin’s name, draws inspiration from the Griffin’s, the nightclub in Geneva founded by Bernard Grobet.

Griffins Special Edition 2015 single cigar

The Griffin’s Special Edition Club Series III is 5 1/2 x 52 robusto. It uses an Ecuadorian habano rojiza wrapper, Dominican binder and filler from Honduras, seco from Jamastra, and the Dominican Republic: piloto seco, hybrid olor/piloto seco, San Vicente majored seco and San Vicente visos.

It is limited to 2,500 boxes of 10 cigars. Suggested retail price is $10 per cigar.

The Griffin’s 2013 Special Edition Club Series I (5 1/2 x 52) shipped in November 2013 while the Griffin’s Anniversary Edition 2014 Club Series II (5 1/2 x 52) shipped last July.

Grobet founded the club in 1964 in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1984 he had a cigar line created for the cigar, that brand was sold to Oettinger Davidoff AG in 1992.
