Garo Cigars is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and while Dr. Garo Bouldoukian has told halfwheel that he is planning a 20th anniversary cigar, he isn’t saying much else about it, other than that it will be part of his booth at this year’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

The company has shared an image of the new release on its Instagram account however:

Most of the clues about the new Garo 20th Anniversary are being left to Instagram, where one image posted indicates that at least one of the sizes will be a 5 1/2 x 54 robusto, though another photo suggests that there will be bigger sizes available, including one that appears to be a Churchill-sized vitola.

Bouldoukian also said that he has been working on his pre-2007 blends so that the company will be ready to move forward once FDA regulation of premium cigars goes into effect.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
