There’s a lancero vitola being added to Fratello Cigars’ core line, and it’s headed to Stogies World Class Cigars in Houston, Texas.

The 7 x 38 vitola marks the first time that Fratello has created a store exclusive, and Omar de Frias is confident that the cigar is heading to a perfect retailer to showcase it. “When I first met Jorge Ahued from Stogies he was smoking the Fratello corona and after 10 minutes he said this would be amazing in a lancero; the rest is history” said de Frias via a press release.

The Fratello Lancero will officially launch on Feb. 6, 2015. It comes with an MSRP of $8.50 per cigar, with 500 boxes of 20 cigars being produced.

This is the third store exclusive lancero for Stogies World Class Cigars in just over a year, joining the Room101 Namakubi Ecuador H-Town Lancero and Alec Bradley Nica Puro H-Town Lancero.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
