The latest addition to STOGIES World Class Cigars’ H-Town is officially available as the cigar made its debut at The STOGIES World Class Cigars Big Damn Jamboree & Wingding 2.0 on Saturday.

Four Kicks H-Town Lancero box

Not only is the 7 1/2 x 38 lancero the seventh cigar to be part of the store’s H-Town Series, it’s the first new size in Crowned Heads’ Four Kicks line in over three years. The cigar was formally announced on Sept. 24 with Jon Huber of Crowned Heads telling halfwheel that “Jorge (Ahued, co-owner of STOGIES) had approached us a while back about doing a store-exclusive for his ‘H-Town’ series of lanceros; we began playing around with the Four Kicks blend in a traditional lancero vitola and felt really good about how it smoked, so it fit the bill perfectly.”

It uses the same blend and factory as the other sizes in the line, with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with production handled by Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic. 500 boxes of 12 cigars are being produced for a total of 6,000 cigars in the first run, with the possibility of more cigars being produced if needed. Each cigar will retail for $8.95 while boxes of 12 are being offered for $96.66.

Four Kicks H-Town Lancero Single

STOGIES continues to close in on its plan to have ten store exclusive lanceros from ten different manufacturers as the Four Kicks H-Town brings the series to seven releases. It joins the Room101 Namakubi Ecuador H-Town, La Palina H-Town, Fratello H-Town, Alec Bradley Nica Puro H-Town, Quesada España H-Town and the Tatuaje Exclusive Series H-Town.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
