Ezra Zion has announced that it will be taking over its own distribution.

The Texas-based company becomes the latest brand to leave the Boutiques Unified distribution family.

“We are so grateful for our friends at LJ Zucca, (owners of Boutiques Unified),” said Ezra Zion in an email. “The years we’ve spent working together have made us a stronger company.”

Ezra Zion joined Boutiques Unified in November of 2012 when it was known as House of Emilio. It’s the latest in a steady stream of companies to leave the distribution company, which it at one point represented nine different cigar companies. Last month, Global Premium Cigars, the company behind the 1502 brand, announced that it was leaving.

As for Ezra Zion, it will now distribute out of its own Texas-based warehouse. The company says retailers can order products from its webstore, where it also sells products directly to customers. Most of the new Ezra Zion products of the last few years have been sold exclusively through its webstore.

Only three brands remain at Boutiques Unified: Nomad and Black Label Trading Co. as well as Emilio, which is also owned L.J. Zucca.
