There’s a new addition to the Epic Cigars portfolio set to arrive next month.

Dean Parsons has been working on a new Connecticut blend to join the company’s Corojo Reserva and Maduro Reserva lines. The line, which does not have a finalized name, will debut next month in two sizes: Robusto (5 1/2 x 52, $7.66) and Short Gordo (4 x 60, $7.80).

It will use an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Mexican San Andrés binder and filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

Parsons told halfwheel the Short Gordo size was specifically requested by the company’s Canadian distributor, Joe Bondi of Alec Bradley Canada.

Like the company’s firs two lines, it is being produced at the Charles Fairmorn Factory in the Dominican Republic.

Production on the cigars began in December and Parsons expects to launch an additional size or two at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show in July.

The new line is set to begin shipping in mid-April.
