Pure Aroma Cigars Inc., the parent of the D’Crossier brand, is now shipping its newest vitola, the Imperium Class Vintage Wide Toro.

The 5 1/8 x 58 double robusto has been in the works for two years, something that was complicated due to the girth of the cigar according to Isaias Santana Diaz, the company’s president and founder.

D'Crossier Imperium Class Vintage Wide Toro

“During the 2 year process of blending the Imperium Class Vintage, we realized that this sun grown wrapper only worked with 50 plus ring gauges. While experimenting with smaller ring gauges, we found the complexity and balance that we were searching for was just not there. This is why this line only comes in 50 plus vitolas.”

That wrapper is a Costa Rican habano criollo tobacco. The Imperium Class Vintage uses an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.

Imperium Class Vintage Wide Toro will retail for $12.50 and is the sixth size in the line.

D’Crossier is distributed in the U.S. by Espinosa Premium Cigars.
