Ahead of next week’s Art Basel, Davidoff has opened up a new Davidoff of Geneva — since 1911 store in Basel.

The new store opened yesterday at Rheinsprung 5/Eisengasse overlooking the Rhine River.

“This particular Flagship Store is very important in our points-of-sale network and marks a new trend in our establishment in the Swiss market,” said Albert Manzone, svp of Europe for Oettinger Davidoff AG, in a press release. “The official opening on June 11, 2015 is certainly one of those very special moments in life that merit taking the time to celebrate and enjoy the very best.”

While the Swiss city of Geneva is where the roots of the company are found, its headquartered in Basel.

The new store is approximately 1,378-square-feet and includes a 226-square-foot humidor and 430-square-foot lounge.

Next week, Davidoff will unveil Cave de Paille, the second edition of its Masterpiece Humidor Collection, designed by Lison de Caunes at the Swiss edition of Art Basel.

Basel is the latest location to receive either a new or updated Davidoff of Geneva store following other locations in both Europe and the U.S. as Davidoff expands its global retail footprint.
