Some of Davidoff’s most popular brands will get special cigar bands as part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebration of Davidoff, the brand.

Core products like the Davidoff Special R, Anniversario No. 3 and others will get the special bands which have a gigantic 50 on them above a Davidoff logo. The blends, boxes and prices remain the same.

It’s part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebration for Davidoff as a cigar brand. In 1968, the Davidoff Ambassadrice, No. 1 and No. 2 were released as part of a new collaboration between Swiss tobacco merchant Zino Davidoff and Cubatabaco, the Cuban state run tobacco company.

Shortly thereafter, Oettinger AG purchased the Davidoff trademark.

Davidoff has celebrated a variety of other major anniversaries with special cigars. In 2006 it released three cigars to celebrate the 100th birthday of the late Zino Davidoff, in 2011 it celebrated the 100th anniversary of the opening of the tobacco shop by Zino’s parents and in 2013 it celebrated the 25th anniversary of its cigars being sold in America.
